What to Expect on Your First Visit
Your first visit lasts for about 90 minutes. After a thorough inquiry into your health concerns and a physical exam, you will rest on a soft treatment table for about 30-45 minutes with acupuncture needles gently placed in a select points. Some conditions may also call for targeted massage, moxibustion, cupping or gua sha. These are all included with your treatment session.
When you first schedule you will receive an email with a link to fill out your health history and consent forms. Please complete these before your arrival or plan to come 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to fill them out in the office.
If you have had any relevant blood test, imaging or lab work, please bring the reports to your first visit as well.
Fees
Initial Visit $120
This includes a comprehensive Chinese medical intake, a thorough inquiry into your health concerns, and physical exam followed by an acupuncture treatment. Please plan 90 minutes for this visit.
Follow up Visits $70
This includes a Chinese medical assessment and physical exam, followed by an acupuncture treatment.
Virtual Consultation $70
This is a 30 minute Chinese medical consultation, which can include herbal formula recommendations, or guidance for acupressure, moxibustion or ear seed treatments you can do at home.
Herbal prescriptions $20-50 (for a two week supply of a high quality granular formula).
Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept most major credit cards including FSA and HSA account cards, as well as checks and cash.

We are in-network with the following insurance companies and many of them will cover your treatment either partially or completely.

If you need help finding out about your acupuncture coverage, please contact your carrier or give us a call. Please note, unless we have a pre-authorized referral at your first visit, we collect our initial visit fee, $120, as a deposit, until your first claim processes. This deposit will be used to cover your co-pays, may be applied to your deductible or refunded to you, depending on your coverage and plan.
For veterans, and work-comp patients no deposit is required, since coverage is already pre-authorized with your referral.
Out of network insurance coverage
If your insurance is one we are out of network with (i.e. Aetna or Cigna), we will be happy to provide you with a super-bill (a medical receipt with treatment and billing codes) that you can send in to request reimbursement.
